- accident: an unexpected event causing damage or injury
- by happenstance: by chance, without being planned
- cadaver: a dead human body, especially for medical study

- coincidence: surprising events happening together by chance
- core (fruit): the central part containing the seeds

- fortune teller: someone claiming to predict the future
- haphazard: lacking order, planning, or organization
- hazard: something that could cause danger or harm
- hazardous: dangerous or likely to cause harm
- humid: containing a lot of moisture in the air
- incident: an event, especially an unusual or unpleasant one
- know-it-all: someone acting like they know everything
- Let the chips fall where they may: accept whatever happens after your actions
- Let the dice fall where they may: accept whatever happens by chance
- Littlewood’s Law: idea that seemingly miraculous events happen regularly
- mausoleum: a large building containing a tomb
- mild: not strong, severe, or extreme
- miracle: an extraordinary event that seems impossible
- mosquito: a small flying insect that bites and sucks your blood
- on the nose: exactly correct or too obvious
- one in a million: extremely rare or special
- pet peeve: something that particularly annoys you
- pips: small seeds inside certain fruits
- seeds: small plant parts from which new plants grow
- snake eyes (dice): two ones rolled with two dice

- The Sims: video game series simulating everyday life
- to cast a spell: to perform magic using a spell
- to cast the dice: to throw dice
- to gamble: to risk money on an uncertain result
- to happen: to take place or occur
- to hunt: to chase animals to catch or kill them
- to pipe up: to suddenly speak or join a conversation
- toad: an amphibian similar to a frog
